Laura L. Hinton
June 2, 1934 - October 22, 2020

Laura L. Hinton, 86, of Springfield, Ohio went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 22, 2020. She was born June 2, 1934 in Springfield, Ohio to the late David and Mary (Goree) Hill, Sr.
She was a faithful servant of God and a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Springfield, Ohio. She also attended First Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio where she developed a close relationship with Pastor Paul and Ann Large and other church family members. Laura was employed at Kroger where she worked as a cashier. She later retired from Navistar in Springfield, Ohio as an inspector.
Laura was a very loving, caring, kind and giving person. And, we all know how much she loved to cook, and keep in touch with family and friends. Laura never met a stranger and she made friends easily. She had a bold sense of fashion, class and elegance mixed with a touch of the latest trends. Whether Laura was just at home dressed in what she considered “casual attire†or dressed for a formal affair, she was always pristine from head to toe.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, Paul Embry of Columbus, Ohio and William (Kay) Embry of Snellville, Georgia; four grandchildren, Kendra “Keyaâ€, Kristopher, and Keion Embry all of Georgia, and Paul Michael Embry of Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Jayla, Jaden, Kaylah, and Kai all of Georgia; three brothers, David Hill, Jr. of Yellow Springs, Ohio, Robert Hill, Sr. of Springfield, Ohio and Louis (Marva) Hill of Springfield, Ohio; one sister, Loretta Thompson of Springfield, Ohio; and a special host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that she loved dearly and shared her love with them every day. Words cannot express how much Laura will be truly missed by her loving family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hinton, whom she was married to for more than 30 years, and her brother, William L. Hill, Sr.
